Yellow Ribbon Support Center

The Yellow Ribbon Support Center is a non-profit organization that has sent over 21,000 packages to our troops serving in harms way since August, 2004.

The Yellow Ribbon Support Center was founded by the parents of SSG Keith “Matt” Maupin after he was captured by insurgents in Iraq on April, 9th 2004, to keep his face in the conscience of those most able to find him, his brothers and sisters in arms. Care packages, plastered with Matt's picture, were sent to soldiers in hopes that someone somewhere might have information about his whereabouts. The community grew and the need for some of the basic necessities for our troops became apparent. While focus never wavered from finding Matt, the Yellow Ribbon Support Center was soon sending packages to any soldier's unit whose family supplied the center with an address.

Matt’s remains were recovered in March 2008 and returned to his family. We continue sending packages, because we owe a great debt to those men and women who wear the uniform of our great country. As long as men and women are placed in harm's way to defend our liberties and basic human rights, there is a purpose for the Yellow Ribbon Support Center.
